Our ancient brains respond best to immediate threats, so it is easy to ignore climate change. But it is arguably the most perilous menace to ever face our species and way of life. In this course, students will get an up-to-date look at the state of our environment. Topics to be covered include: the science of climate change, our lifestyle and our conveniences, capitalism and the solidarity economy, strategies for the future, and the moral challenge facing us.
